Football Game Preview: East Chambers Buccaneers vs. Orangefield Bobcats + How To Watch

The East Chambers Buccaneers will challenge the Orangefield Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

East Chambers is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Kirbyville with a 58-52 win on Friday. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Buccaneers were down 46-28 in the second quarter.

East Chambers' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JD Zurby, who threw for 338 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 52 yards on only seven carries. Those 338 passing yards gave Zurby a new career-high. Koby Jones was another key back, rushing for 150 yards and four scores.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Orangefield took on Kirbyville last Friday. The Bobcats breezed past the Wildcats to the tune of 50-22. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Orangefield's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for East Chambers, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
