Volleyball Recap: Westminster Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Academy lost against Miami Country Day back in August of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

Westminster Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Miami Country Day work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-25, 25-14.

Miami Country Day found their leader in freshman Hailey Ramirez, who had 12 digs. Sasha Blasky was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.

Westminster Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Miami Country Day, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Westminster Academy will challenge West Boca Raton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami Country Day, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mater Brickell Academy at 5:00 p.m.
