Catoctin has gone a perfect 7-0 against Smithsburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Leopards at 6:00 p.m. Catoctin's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Catoctin challenged Walkersville on Friday. The Cougars had to suffer through a 59-6 loss at the hands of the Lions.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Smithsburg was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clear Spring. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Leopards couldn't quite close it out.

Catoctin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Smithsburg, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Catoctin against Smithsburg when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 43-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
