Baseball Recap: Anclote Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Anclote's offense. They came up short against the Sunlake Seahawks on Thursday, falling 9-0. If the Sharks were looking for revenge after losing 10-2 to the Seahawks when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Anclote saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Langley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Anclote has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Sunlake and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Anclote will challenge Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Anclote is facing Hudson at the right time seeing as Hudson is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sunlake, they will square off against Holy Ghost Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
