Football Game Preview: West Morgan Rebels vs. Wilson Warriors

West Morgan has gone a perfect 5-0 against Wilson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. West Morgan will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, West Morgan humbled Central with a 57-19 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.

MacArri Johnson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 134 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 33 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Asher Fletcher was another key player, rushing for 26 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Morgan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 270 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Wilson didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Lawrence on Friday, but they still walked away with a 28-22 victory.

West Morgan's record now sits at 8-0. As for Wilson, their record is now 3-5.

Everything came up roses for West Morgan against Wilson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-7 win. In that game, the Rebels amassed a halftime lead of 41-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
