Basketball Recap: Washington Piles Up the Points Against Evansville Memorial

Washington entered their tilt with Evansville Memorial on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-24 victory over the Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Hatchets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Washington had a senior duo take command as Katie Reed dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards and Shay Hawk shot 56% from the field on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and five steals. Reed's big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Ella Williams was another key player, putting up five points along with five assists and four steals.

Washington's record now sits at 7-2. As for Evansville Memorial, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
