Basketball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fairmont can now relate to. They took a blow against the Farmville Central Jaguars on Friday, falling 80-50. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Jaguars are ranked 22nd).

Fairmont's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Farmville Central, their victory was their 31st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

As of now, neither Fairmont nor Farmville Central have any future games scheduled.
