Football Game Preview: Elbert vs. Rocky Mountain Lutheran

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's and Justice's match last Saturday was up for grabs at halftime, but Rocky Mountain Lutheran were thoroughly outmatched in the second half. Rocky Mountain Lutheran suffered a grim 26-48 defeat to Justice. Rocky Mountain Lutheran's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Sam Hahm, who rushed for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Elbert won the last time they faced Miami-Yoder, and things went their way, too. Elbert made easy work of Miami-Yoder and carried off a 46-12 victory. Elbert were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Elbert's win lifted them to 2-2 while Rocky Mountain Lutheran's defeat dropped them down to 0-3. In their win, Elbert relied heavily on senior Bryar Morgan, who rushed for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rocky Mountain Lutheran will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
