Basketball Game Preview: College Station Cougars vs. Rudder Rangers

The College Station Cougars will head out to take on the Rudder Rangers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

College Station is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since January 26th last Friday. They fell just short of A&M Consolidated by a score of 57-54. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Rudder didn't have too much trouble with El Campo on Monday as they won 58-39. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 491st, while the Ricebirds are ranked 1176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rudder's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for College Station, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

College Station skirted past Rudder 54-51 in their previous matchup back in February. Does College Station have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rudder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
