Glenwood Springs is 9-1 against Summit since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Glenwood Springs Demons will square off against the Summit Tigers at 5:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Glenwood Springs was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Palisade. The Demons have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Glenwood Springs saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ivee Enewold went 6 for 15 en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Chloe Davies was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Summit ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They slipped by Eagle Valley 56-55. The win almost wasn't to be: the Tigers were down 40-20 in the third quarter.

Summit now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Glenwood Springs, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Glenwood Springs came up short against Summit in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 42-31. Can Glenwood Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
