Volleyball Game Preview: Wolcott RVT Wildcats vs. Woodstock Academy Centaurs

Wolcott RVT is a perfect 3-0 against Woodstock Academy since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will host the Centaurs at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Wednesday. Wolcott RVT was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Norwich Free Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wolcott RVT.

While Wolcott RVT might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Norwich Free Academy scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Adain Prindle produced another solid effort getting 29 digs and one assist. Those 29 digs gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Woodstock Academy hadn't done well against Rockville recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Centaurs came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 28-26, 19-25, 25-15, 25-14.

Wolcott RVT's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Woodstock Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Everything went Wolcott RVT's way against Woodstock Academy in their previous matchup on May 7th, as Wolcott RVT made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Centaurs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
