The Johnson Jaguars will face off against the Lake Travis Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Johnson will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Johnson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 29-28 win over Steele. Those 29 points were actually the fewest the Jaguars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Johnson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elvis Estrada, who threw for 374 yards and four TDs while completing 76.3% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Estrada has posted since back in October. Bryson Thompson was in the mix too, providing Johnson with two scores.
Johnson didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Steele to a completion percentage of just 35.3%. The Jaguars hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.63 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last game, Lake Travis made sure to put some points up on the board against United on Friday. The Cavaliers blew past the Longhorns, posting a 41-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Lake Travis' win came from a few key players Johnson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Vann Hopping, who rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards. Luke McBride was another key player, throwing for 199 yards and four TDs while completing 74.1% of his passes.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lake Travis' defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Carter Buck and Braeden Lott, who racked up six sacks between them. Lott has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.
Johnson's record is now 13-0. As for Lake Travis, their record now sits at an identical 13-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Johnson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 195.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lake Travis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 164.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Johnson was dealt a bruising 55-27 defeat at the hands of Lake Travis in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hopping, who rushed for 188 yards and three scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown.
