The Badgers were outmatched by the Mohave Thunderbirds and fell 63-28. Prescott's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenny Miller-Terry, who picked up 155 receiving yards and two TDs. The Badgers also got a significant boost from Jacob Chamberlain, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.
Joe Yoney was his usual excellent self, throwing for 312 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 99 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries for Mohave. The Thunderbirds' leading receiver Nathaniel Villarreal was Yoney's top target yet again, picking up 115 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Prescott's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mohave, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prescott will head out to face off against Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Chamberlain and Dylan Callado. As for Mohave, they are taking a road trip to take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
