While Santa Clara's victory against Fremont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over the Firebirds on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Jasmine (Jazzy) Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Averie Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

The victory got Santa Clara back to even at 11-11. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Santa Clara will venture away from home to challenge Palo Alto at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Fremont, they will host Saratoga at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight.
