Basketball Recap: North Callaway Takes a Loss

North Callaway suffered their biggest defeat since January 3rd on Saturday. They were beaten by the Montgomery County Wildcats 83-43. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, North Callaway saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Blevins went 5-for-9 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Blevins a new career-high. Austin Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

North Callaway's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Montgomery County, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

North Callaway has already played their next match, a 57-46 loss against Bowling Green on the 20th. Montgomery County has also already played their next contest (against Clopton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
