Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Charlotte Latin

Charlotte Latin entered their tilt with Charlotte Country Day School on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Buccaneers back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Charlotte Latin not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Charlotte Country Day School between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.

Leading Charlotte Latin to victory were Ryan Burrell and Sahana Mahesh. Burrell had 11 digs and four aces, while Mahesh had seven digs and two aces. Burrell has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 15 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Charlotte Latin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive contests.

Charlotte Latin's record is now 26-1. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
