Basketball Recap: Hobart Comes Up Short

Hobart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 38-30 to the South Central Satellites. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brickies of the 36-23 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2015.

Despite the loss, Hobart still got an impressive performance from Riley Weber, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. Hallie Pendleton was another key player, putting up six points and seven steals.

South Central can attribute much of their success to Makenna Welsh, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Johnson, who had 12 points and four steals.

Hobart's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for South Central, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Hobart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-39 loss against Hammond Morton on the 8th. As for South Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-21 victory against Hebron on the 9th.
