Basketball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

Evergreen was the 56-39 winner over Swanton when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Evergreen Vikings were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 62-61 to the Swanton Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Swanton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Evergreen will head out to challenge Ottawa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Swanton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-59 win against Northwood on the 9th.
