Volleyball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

After flying high against Independence on Tuesday, Marion came back down to earth. The Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs on Saturday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Marion has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Marion has already played their next matchup (against Xavier), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against North Scott on the 20th.
