Volleyball Recap: Sunnyslope Falls Short Against Ranked Notre Dame Prep

Sunnyslope faced Notre Dame Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Saints by a score of 2-1. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Hayes Haan paced Sunnyslope's offense, picking up 12 kills. Haan got some help from Lilli Schmitt and her 26 assists. Josie Portela controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sunnyslope is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-4. As for Notre Dame Prep, their record is now 13-3.

Sunnyslope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against James Logan on the 26th. As for Notre Dame Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Orangewood Christian on the 26th.
