Lewiston has gone 9-1 against Sandpoint recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bengals will look to defend their home court against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lewiston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Post Falls, who was ranked 12th at the time (Lewiston was ranked 19th). The Bengals fell 3-1 to the Trojans on Saturday.

While Lewiston ultimately came up short, they really made Post Falls work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 26-28, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Sandpoint also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Lakeland by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-12, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Sandpoint saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Breecyn Morton had six aces and five digs. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Morton.

Sandpoint's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Lewiston beat Sandpoint 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
