Volleyball Recap: Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Comes Up Short

They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nevada Union Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in February.

Deacon Strutton paced Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's offense, picking up ten kills. Strutton got some help from Christian McKnight and his 12 assists. Finally, Toby Richard kept Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Nevada Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
