Lanier Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans 80-51 on Tuesday. The Lightning have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Lanier Christian Academy to victory were Mekhi Barber and Xavier Barber. Mekhi almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Xavier almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 assists. The dominant performance gave Xavier a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Gavin Sewell-Strabala, who posted ten points and six boards.

Lanier Christian Academy pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Scholars Guild Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
