Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley and Legacy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spring Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-8 back in April.

Isabella Lenahan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Addyson La Frenais, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Spring Valley and nudges their season record down to 17-9. As for Legacy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season.

Spring Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy, they will face off against Southeast Career Tech at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roadrunners have averaged an impressive 13 runs per game this season.
