Recap: Couch Indians vs. Bakersfield Lions
The Couch Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Bakersfield 60-25. Couch lost against Bakersfield in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-53 score last time.
Bakersfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Callie Smith, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jessie Keith, who scored 15 points.
Couch's loss was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bakersfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Couch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bakersfield, they will be playing at home against Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bakersfield is facing Dora at the right time seeing as Dora is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
