Volleyball Recap: Savannah Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Savannah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Savannah Country Day Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejackets of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-5.

Boots Buckler was nothing short of spectacular for Savannah Country Day: she had 11 aces and two assists. Those 11 aces gave Buckler a new career-high.

Savannah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Savannah Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Savannah and Savannah Country Day will both be playing St. Vincent's the next time they take the court. The Bluejackets will head out to face the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
