On Tuesday Collins Ames didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. The performance marked the most strikeouts Ames has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her 12th in a row with less than one earned run. This year, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of .21 over 66.7 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.472/0.604/0.639 with 17 runs and just as many RBI, plus 14 stolen bases.

Looking ahead, Ames and Miami Country Day will venture away from home to take on Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
