Baseball Recap: Sylacauga Takes a Loss

Sylacauga lost against Briarwood Christian last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sylacauga Aggies fell 5-2 to the Briarwood Christian Lions. The Aggies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sylacauga saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Phillips, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Briarwood Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylacauga will take on Holtville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will square off against Leeds at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
