Ferndale and Blaine are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Ferndale Golden Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blaine Borderites at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ferndale came up short against Lake Stevens on Tuesday, falling 14-3. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Kaelin Blakley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Blaine got the win against Orcas Island on Thursday by a conclusive 27-4.

Ferndale might still be hurting after the 17-3 loss they got from Blaine in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Ferndale avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
