Football Recap: Greenfield Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Greenfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against Appleton City/Montrose on Friday, falling 88-14. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Appleton City/Montrose apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

Drake Morrison threw for 31 yards on four of 17 attempts.

Greenfield has already played their next contest, a 22-20 loss against Liberal on the 5th. Appleton City/Montrose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
