Recap: Apple Springs Eagles vs. Martinsville Pirates        
        
		
            
 After a string of three wins, the Apple Springs Eagles's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They fell to Martinsville  62-58. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Apple Springs in their matchups with Martinsville: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Despite the loss, Apple Springs still got an impressive performance from   Dakota Campbell, who  scored 26 points along with six  rebounds. Campbell hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was  Connor Kaufman, who  scored three points along with 17  rebounds and three  steals.
 Apple Springs' loss  ended a four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-7. As for Martinsville, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with that  win, which was their tenth straight  at home.
 Apple Springs will take on Wells at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. As for Martinsville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Slocum at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Slocum is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.7  points per game.
