Volleyball Recap: Worcester Prep Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Worcester Prep can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to The Gunston School Herons on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mallards in their meetings with the Herons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Worcester Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-6, 25-16.

Scotia Hopper was a one-woman wrecking crew For The Gunston School. as she had 13 digs and four aces. Hopper has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last seven times she's played.

Worcester Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for The Gunston School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Worcester Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The Gunston School, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sts. Peter & Paul on the 24th.
