Basketball Recap: Mulberry Grove Falls Short of North Clay/Clay City in the Playoffs

Mulberry Grove and North Clay/Clay City squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Mulberry Grove had to settle for second. They were beaten by North Clay/Clay City 77-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Aces have suffered since January 28th.

Mulberry Grove lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jackson Icenogle, who posted nine points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Sugg, who put up four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.

Mulberry Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 14-18. As for North Clay/Clay City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

Mulberry Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Clay/Clay City, they have already played their next game, a 67-58 win against Altamont on the 26th.
