Softball Recap: Eastern Guilford Comes Up Short

Eastern Guilford fell victim to Rockingham County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastern Guilford and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Rockingham County, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Coming up, Eastern Guilford will welcome Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Camels have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Rockingham County, they will venture away from home to face off against West Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 1.4, the Titans 1.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
