Volleyball Recap: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Garrison Bulldogs
Chester had already won 13 in a row and they went ahead and made it 14 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Garrison Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-21.
Lily Read paced Chester's offense, picking up 17 kills. Read got some help from
Emma Byrd and her 31 assists.
Marae Pounds controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Chester is on a roll lately: they've won 28 of their last 29 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 37-9 record this season. As for Garrison, they moved to 28-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
