Baseball Recap: Continental Takes a Loss

Continental was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the McComb Panthers, falling 16-7.

Quinn Tegenkamp was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Continental's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for McComb, their win bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Coming up, Continental is taking a road trip to take on Hilltop at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cadets have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for McComb, they will be playing at home against Pandora-Gilboa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.8 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
