Volleyball Game Preview: Hickman County Bulldogs vs. Harpeth Indians

After both having extra time off, the Hickman County Bulldogs and the Harpeth Indians will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harpeth took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hickman County, who comes in off a win.

Hickman County took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Houston County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Fighting Irish 3-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hickman County wouldn't go down easily and took Houston County into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Harpeth lost 3-0 to Merrol Hyde Magnet on Tuesday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-12.

Hickman County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. As for Harpeth, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Hickman County might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Harpeth when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
