Volleyball Game Preview: Stanley-Boyd Orioles vs. Prairie du Chien Blackhawks

The Stanley-Boyd Orioles are taking a road trip to face off against the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks on Saturday. Stanley-Boyd is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

Stanley-Boyd will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Regis, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Orioles came out on top against the Ramblers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The win didn't come easy: Regis scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Prairie du Chien lost 3-0 to River Valley on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Prairie du Chien in their meetings with River Valley: they've now lost three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-6.

Stanley-Boyd's victory bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Prairie du Chien, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Stanley-Boyd beat Prairie du Chien 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Orioles repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
