Baseball Recap: Lexington Comes Up Short

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Newton North Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Newton North, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Lexington will look to defend their home field on Monday against Belmont at 7:00 p.m. As for Newton North, they will venture away from home to square off against Wellesley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
