Softball Recap: Highland Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Highland got themselves on the board against Ridgeview on Friday, but Ridgeview never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wolf Pack. The Scots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ridgeview's batters probably weren't too happy with Lilliana Garcia, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (she gave up three walks).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nevaeh Rodriquez, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrina Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-2 record this season. As for Ridgeview, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20-1.

As of now, neither Highland nor the Wolf Pack have any future games scheduled.
