Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Takes a Loss

Citrus Valley was the 2-0 winner over Xavier Prep when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Saints by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Citrus Valley lost, don't look at Sophia Swogger. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and two assists. Swogger is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Citrus Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Xavier Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Citrus Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Poly on the 12th. As for Xavier Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Arrowhead Christian on the 9th.
