Basketball Game Preview: Genoa Area Comets vs. Galion Tigers

The Genoa Area Comets will take on the Galion Tigers in a tournament on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Genoa Area fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Otsego on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Knights 55-51.

Meanwhile, Galion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Marion Harding on the road by a 66-51 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Presidents are ranked 87th).

Galion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.
