Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Olympians vs. Bloomington South Panthers

Columbus East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell just short of the Bloomington South Panthers by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Olympians of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

While Columbus East ultimately came up short, they really made Bloomington South work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 19-25, 26-24, 17-25, 15-11.

Several Olympians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Emery, who had 12 digs and three aces. What's more, Emery also racked up no blocks, the mostshe's had since back in September.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus East will face off against Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bloomington South, they will take on Martinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
