Softball Recap: Oswego East Comes Up Short

Plainfield East hit Oswego East with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bengals since on Wednesday.

Danielle Stone was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maya Bobo, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Plainfield East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.
