Catalina Foothills came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mountain View Mountain Lions by a score of 59-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 73-41 back in January.

Mountain View's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayce Cramblit, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. What's more, Cramblit also posted a 83% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024. Isaiah Romero was another key player, going 7 of 13 to rack up 16 points.

Catalina Foothills' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catalina Foothills will head out to square off against Canyon del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Catalina Foothills knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Canyon del Oro likes a good challenge. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to face off against Maricopa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
