Volleyball Recap: Sterling City Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Sterling City took on Veribest on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Veribest can attribute much of their success to Chloe Becker, who had 14 digs and three blocks. That's the most digs Becker has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tristyn Rojo, who had five digs and three aces.

Sterling City's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Veribest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Sterling City will square off against Klondike at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Veribest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Cedar Hill on the 23rd.
