Softball Recap: Troy Takes Down Miamisburg in a Playoff Battle

Troy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Miamisburg Vikings 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 back in April.

Troy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7. As for Miamisburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Troy will face off against Mount Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Notre Dame will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Troy surely won't give up without a fight. Miamisburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
