Baseball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren extended their losing streak to 17 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-17 in the process. They lost 17-7 to the Fort LeBoeuf Bison. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 last Monday.

Elijah Snyder made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Colin Zdarko was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Fort LeBoeuf, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11. That ten run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

On Fort LeBoeuf's side, Nick Setterberg looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Setterberg is becoming a predictor of the Bison's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Kadin Dombkowski was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. He has become a key player for Fort LeBoeuf: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Milner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Warren has already played their next matchup, a 9-1 defeat against Harbor Creek on the 14th. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Meadville on the 14th.
