Baseball Recap: Burton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Burton can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Overton Mustangs on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Burton's loss dropped their record down to 29-7. As for Overton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Burton beat Overton by a score of 6-0 later that day.
