Volleyball Recap: Yume Duncan and Kelly Vance Secure Win for New Canaan

New Canaan barely beat Danbury the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Hatters with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Hatters recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

New Canaan's got stronger as the match went on, holding Danbury to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-4.

New Canaan was led to victory by Kelly Vance and Yume Duncan. Vance had 12 aces, while Duncan had 24 assists. Those 12 aces gave Vance a new career-high.

New Canaan's victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

New Canaan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wilton on the 10th. As for Danbury, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ludlowe at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th.
